Survive ATM 10 from day one — quest progression, power generation, storage, automation, and endgame mod paths.

Getting Started

Download ATM 10 from Modrinth or CurseForge. Allocate 8+ GB RAM. Open the quest book immediately — it rewards items and teaches progression.

Pick one tech mod (Mekanism or Create) and one magic mod (Botania or Ars Nouveau). Do not try to learn all 400+ mods at once.

Vanilla mining works but ore generation differs. Use EMI/JEI (press E) for recipes. Set up Iron Furnaces early for fast smelting.

The quest book gates useful machines behind simple tasks. Complete introductory chapters before exploring dangerous dimensions.

Tech mods need FE/RF. Start with Mekanism Heat Generator or Create water wheels. Upgrade to solar or bigger Create setups mid-game.

Store power in Mekanism Energy Cubes or Powah batteries. Power spikes when automating — plan capacity before scaling machines.

Applied Energistics 2 (AE2) is the endgame storage standard. Quests walk you through ME Drives and Storage Cells.

Start with 1k and 4k cells. ME Import Buses on furnace outputs auto-sort. Wireless terminals access your system anywhere on the base.

Automate ore processing first — Mekanism Enrichment Chambers double ores. Then automate fuel, crops, and mob drops.

Create offers visual automation with presses, mixers, and deployers. It pairs well with AE2 for autocrafting requests.

ATM 10 adds many dimensions and structures. Bring decent gear and food before exploring. Loot chests in structures often contain accelerants.

The quest book marks key exploration milestones. Some dimensions gate endgame materials — follow quest order to avoid grinding the wrong content.

Botania generates mana for automation and tools. Ars Nouveau offers spell crafting. Occultism handles summoning and storage.

Magic complements tech — mana-powered farms and spell augments reduce power draw. Pick one magic mod and complete its quest chapter.

Lower render distance and use included performance mods (FerriteCore, ModernFix). Chunk-claim your base on servers.

Back up your world before major updates. ATM 10 receives frequent patches — check changelogs before updating.
